Referring to your Despatch No. 325 of the 30th.

November, I have the honour to state that Mr. U. A. Farrell is

mistaken regarding the increment to his salary, which is not due

until the lat. January, 1917.

Instructions will be given to the Crom Agents

in respect of incrementa that may become due to other officers of

this Government who are serving with His Majesty's Naval or Mili-

-tary forces,
